Me being from Cleveland, I was thoroughly embarrassed to hear that LeBron James and Nike wanted the video of “King” James being dunked on by a college basketball player at one of his basketball camps. Oh my goodness, are you serious? I never liked LeBron and I never will, and this incident has secured my feelings. It just proves everything I’ve said. The world is now starting to see the REAL LeBron. The diva. The crybaby. Don’t get me wrong LeBron has a good little bit of game on him, but his personality is just as ugly as his sneakers. I have no idea why Cleveland worships him. Seriously there’s a huge picture of him on the side of a building downtown. Ugh. So now that that’s been said let me speak my piece.
I was watching TMZ the other night and Harvey Levin mad a very valid point. He said if LeBron and Nike would have just released the tape, there wouldn’t be so much buzz about it. Funny thing is the tape isn’t of the best quality. You can’t tell who is who.But I did manage to find a video with slow motion and a better angle.HAHAHA!!(Watch it below) He got dunked on by a college kid. SO WHAT! Michael Jordan was crossed over by Allen Iverson. Kobe Bryant was beaten by Dwight Howard. (They didn’t win the series but that’s not the point.) Some of the greatest players in the game have been shown up once or twice by the underdogs. Get over it; it’s a way of life. Every time LeBron gets shown up or beaten he throws a temper tantrum and everyone thinks it is shocking and makes it headline news. I swear living in Cleveland; I’ve heard the handshake story and every analysis that the sports casters could come up with, for weeks. No lie.
Speaking of the now infamous handshake incident, let’s speak on that. After the final seconds of the Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron never shook the hands of Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic team. To some people LeBron was hurt and they understood, to people with half a brain he was being a spoiled brat. So what he didn’t win. It wasn’t the first time the Cavaliers lost the conference finals. So what made this time different? His other teammates shook their hands and went on about their night. Why couldn’t he? This isn’t the only incident of LeBron’s poor behavior. Let us not forget after the Championship LeBron was photographed wearing a shirt that said “LBJ MVP”. You couldn’t let Kobe have his moment, huh LeBron? This wasn’t the last apprearence of the “I’m a d-bag” shirts. The next time he was photographed he was wearing a shirt that said “Check My Stats”. Ok LeBron we get it. You were league MVP, but Kobe was the Finals MVP. You know the MVP you STILL haven’t been?
So, what is my point of my semi-rant? My point is that someone close to LeBron or anyone needs to step up and tell him to stop being an a-hole! It’s not cute. LeBron is slowly but surely losing his fan base because he’s forgotten where he’s come from. He used to be a very humble guy, but now he’s gone straight Hollywood. Don’t forget who buys everything you endorse LeBron. I’ll give you a hint, it’s the same people that keep you signed to Nike so you could have a puppet.
